On-Demand Courses FAQs
What kind of technology do I need to access the Digital Content?
You can access Digital Content from any internet-enabled device using the latest browser software. We recommend a laptop or desktop with the Chrome browser for the best possible experience (though a tablet may do in a pinch). Note that some features won't be available unless you enable cookies.
What’s the best way to be successful with on-demand courses?
The short answer is: accountability. We've had great success with this type of course, but it's not for everyone. Students who are self-motivated and self-organized have an easy time navigating the course and completing the work. Similarly, students who receive support from parents or other adults also do very well. Being accountable to oneself (or to someone else) is a key to success in this type of programming.
Who reviews my student’s work in an on-demand course?
Our on-demand courses provide families with the structure and materials they need to succeed. So, they're perfect for students who learn well on their own. They're also great for students who can work through the content with a parent, guardian, or other adult. Homework and practice test responses are recorded in your student's account for review and follow-up. Homework explanations can be found at the back of the homework book. Classwork explanations are provided via instructional video.
What if my student has questions?
Our on-demand courses allow students to see and hear their teacher. And while they will hear their classmates asking questions, they won't be able to ask live questions in the moment. For general questions about the course, please reach out to your point of contact at The Tutorverse. If your student needs more detailed content-related support, we will be happy to share more with you about our tutoring services.
Can I try an on-demand course before I enroll?
We aren't currently able to provide piecemeal access to our on-demand courses. If you'd like to learn more before you enroll, please feel free to contact us so that we can help you decide if this is the right fit for your family.
